| | Posted: | | | | This would not be the first time I have done a blind buy on a tv series just based on the forum opinions (see Firefly), but I seriously wanted to hear what people thought about the show Veronica Mars??? Currently Best Buy has all 3 season on sale for $19.99, a great price for just about any television show, but I could use that $60 for other things so I wanted to know if the show is worth getting?!? | | Posted: | | | | I purchased S1 as a blind buy based on others' recommendations from this forum and did not regret it at all. After I finished S1 I watched for S2 to go on sale and grabbed right away. I personally enjoyed S1 a bit better but S2 was still good.
I just grabbed S3 at Target for $18.99 this week. Looking forward to seeing how the last season is.
You could always just get S1 and see if you enjoy it. This show goes on sale regularly for $20 so my guess is you would be able to grab the other 2 seasons later for the same price as you can get them now. |

Season 2 wasn't nearly as good, but I still really, really liked it.
Season 3 was a step down from season 2 in my opinion. In fact, we never even got around to finishing the show when it aired. We now have the DVDs, but have yet to finish it (we've spent the last year working though every season of Stargate).
So each season gets worse, but they're still good enough that I have them all on DVD. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here.

| | Posted: | | | | I also bought the DVDs on sale, though some time ago now. I was a fan of the series when it was originally broadcast and had seen nearly all of the episodes before I got the DVDs. I agree with the others about the first being the best of the three seasons, but I think they are all worth the $19.99 Best Buy is charging.
BTW: I bought Seasons 1&2 from Best Buy for $14.99 when Season 3 came out. I bought it later from BB for $19.99. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole)

| | Posted: | | | | A great show -- really worth watching. Lots of interesting twists in the episodes and the season long story arcs. I really liked all 3 seasons and would heartily recommend the show.
Interesting note - both Kevin Smith (Clerks) and Joss Whedon (Buffy, Angel) liked the show enough to appear in cameo roles as a convenience store clerk and rental car clerk respectively.
