I saw it yesterday, and I was bitterly disappointed. I felt the magic had gone. Most of the jokes were kind of lame. Some of the effects cried out CGI. In the first two installments, John Hannah was a very witty sidekick, in this one, I found him rather annoying. I guess Rachel Weisz was right in passing this one.

Both thw wife and I enjioed it, while no where as good as earlier installements it was wotjh the $5 for the tix.... whould not have paid the the regular $9 ticked price though

thanks.. At least I am not alone.. As you said, popcorn cinema.. Sadly in my cinema they already moved it to room c which is as big as my living room.. So that they can use the two big rooms for Dark Knight. Which I watched yesterday and was really really amazed about how great this movie was.. but back to the mummy.. I could have been even really great it Rachel Weisz would have grazed us with her presence.

You could be on to something. Back when "The Hunt for the Red October" came out, which is arguable one of the best movies ever made critics around the country (US) didn't really like it. Luckily it had no impact on the Box office. (I was just thinking of that one because I was just watching it on BD)..
You can't trust critics anymore.. They are off in their little world looking for something that's wrong.. And that's the problem.. Don't go looking for the flaws.. Go looking for what makes a movie great..

Still, even though "The Mummy 3" hasn't even returned half of it costs in theatre receipts I am sure it will sell ok on DVD and Blu.. So in the end they'll get their money back..

Maybe even make a 4th one.. (They did it with Indy and that worked out great.. at least for me.. I liked it a lot)

In austria (also in Germany) you pay different prices according to your seat. You get a seat assigned when you buy the ticket. You tell them in what row you wanna sit and then pay the according price.

So every ticket says like row 10 seat 5. That's the same in every cinema in Austria and Germany. I really don't know about other european countries. But I guess it's about the same.

The first 3 rows are the cheapest. All the way in the back is of course most expensive. I always call ahead and reserve my ticket to get exactly the seat I want. In the exact middle of the theatre. First of all because the row has a lot of room for your feet. (I don't know how to translate that but that row is called "Feetfree" which means that there is plenty of space to the row below you.
I chose the middle of the theatre to get the best sound experience..

I was at the movies in the US a couple of times. Over there it's simply the way that who comes first get's the best seats. Also camping in front of theaters for a great movie is unnecessary since you can simply phone in and reserve a seat.
