Anyone know of any ps3 games that have a scifi theme, preferably involving space in some way?

The only one that comes to mind with a sci-fi theme is Resistance which is a FPS set in like an alternate WW2 where you fight off alien type invasion.  They have a sequel coming out for it.

Other than that, not any that I can think of for space.  I mostly use my 360 for games and my PS3 for blu-ray.

EDIT: I take that back.  Dead Space will be comign to PS3 - http://deadspace.ea.com
Schultzy - http://www.michaelschultz.net
grenactics - The art of skillfully fraggin one’s opponent with the use of grenades or other compact explosive devices that are thrown by hand or projected.

More Arcade style, but...

Super Stardust HD

Available through the PSN store.

Dead Space certainly looks interesting. It appears like Event Horizon, in a way; although, isn't based on a comic book or so? Anchor bay will release a DVD/Blu-ray based on the game; as I read the discs will come with some codes that will unlock some items in the game... I think I may want to buy that one. (Although some reviewers mentioned that the controls are very different and need lots of getting-used-to.)

I forgot about resistance, dead space looks good too.  Will have to get hold of some demos.

Thanks

No it's an original IP they've created for the game, but they've chosen to flesh out the story through comics and an animated film.

You can find 'animated' comic episodes on the web or via Xbox live, I guess they are available through PSN but I haven't checked. The official site is here iand you can find the comics there (can't link directly).

For those familiar with his work Warren Ellis was involved in the story, but wasn't the sole creative talent.
