...better than free if you plan on seeing either Traitor or Righteous Kill at the theater that is.
With any ddv purchase at BB this week, you get a movie cash code to redeem online (so you'll need internet and printer access) for either of these upcoming films.
Even better, a bunch of old Sony/Columbia/Tristar dvds are on sale for $3.99 each. Most are the new fullscreen only versions of catalog titles, but I was lucky enough to find old flippers with WS of Money Train and Johnny Mnemonic. So if I go see RK at night, when tickets are $10.50 (the exact ammount the movie cash is good up to), then I get paid $6.27 for each dvd.
It's new tricky math, but that's the bottom line. No one raised an eyebrow when I had 2 dvds and 2 ticket vouchers at checkout.
I don't see how the studio can make money this way. The dvds are so cheap they're practically free, and teh movie cash is worth more than twice the price paid for the dvd.  Oh well, not my concern. I'm gonna finally see Money Train in WS, and finally see Johnny M period. Even if it sucks, it's worth it for saving that much on the movie ticket I was going to buy anyway!
Not sure if there any similar offer in Canada or anywhere outside the States, but if you're in the states see if you can find a bargin dvd you want and see another new movie on the house.
