| | Posted: | | | | An announcement on the Amazon.co.uk homepage states that they have significantly dropped the minimum order amount which qualifies for the Super Saver Shipping... it's now only £5  This is good news, as I have been put off from pre-ordering from Amazon in the past due to the high minimum amount... ... I don't know why they don't just scrap it all together though. | | | DVD

Obviously, Amazon are attempting to keep up with Play.com and hmv.co.uk who are offering free delivery, which is why the latter pair got three DVD orders tonight because of (a) almost exactly the same price as Amazon, and (b) free postage! | | | | Chris | | | | Last edited: by Mole |

Hi Kat, Yeah, it's pretty much the same timeframe for deliveries from Amazon USA to UK, so it's always been OK for me. We never have the time to watch the stuff I buy anyway!!!! For example, over the next week....la famille Mole are off to Belgium tomorrow for a rock festival (I 'm on house-sitting duty for the cats!), then I'm off to Toulouse on Monday thru Wednesday, then Stevenage on Thursday..... maybe I'll get to watch a DVD in the hotels! | | | | Chris |

... I don't know why they don't just scrap it all together though. Because thenthey would have even less people giving them £49 a year for Prime... and if you're ordering anywhere near Christmas don't expect any SuperSaver items to actually leave the warehouse until at least a week after you order them! | | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
