I don't know all of the scenes mentiones, but the list's #1 pick is mine as well.

I actually fidgeted in my seat in the cinema when I saw it and remembered how well (although excrutiatingly long and slow) Yoda made his way through the pearly gates in Episode 6.

The funniest thing I heard about the shooting of this scene though was that they had to do it a ton of times, because Patrick Stewart was simply unable to keep a straight face at Shatner's ridiculous attempts at acting a death scene.

I'd love to see that B-roll....

I agree with those I've seen (only a handful) but have to completely agree with #12.

I saw SERENITY before ever watching FIREFLY (spoiler alert if you haven't seen the film).  While Wash's death didn't have a huge impact on me at the time, the character had made enough of an impression that his death had a memorable resonance.  When watching FIREFLY it made his death (which lingered in my mind throughout) more poignant.  On the other hand, it was only after revisiting the film after finishing the series taht I realized who the priest was who died in Mal's arms.  A real waste, in my opinion. Watching the show I felt Book was the most compelling character, but in the movie he was such a plot-device/afterthought.

That said, I do feel that had he been fleshed out more in the film, it was a fairly worthy death scene.  Certainly better than falling off a scaffold (if only Spock or Mal could'a shown Kirk how to manipulate nerves)!

My wife and I always make one comment about death #1, "Kirk died reaching for the remote control."

True but a weak death nonetheless.

I wouldn't say Tasha's death was a weak one (from what I remember), pointless/needless maybe but not weak.
