I find it ridculous that all this back and forth political banter was allowed to go on for weeks but now all the political threads have been locked now that the election is over???  That makes no sense at all!!!

You could've posted this in the existing thread about them.

However it does make sense to lock them now to stop people on either side taunting the other further than has already happened.

Yes, I agree. All participants of the political threads should now take a deep breath, watch the gun smoke disappear and relax!

Now that the issue of who will be the President has been resolved, continuing those threads would only lead to gloating by the winners and sour grapes by the losers.  That's already happening in the talk show world.  I don't think we want to return to the days following the last two elections, 2000 and 2004 only with the roles reversed this tim.

I'm not happy about the outcome of the election, but I admit that Obama ran a better campaign.  I don't think he will be good for the country by any means, but my beef now is 1) with the GOP for not doing a better job, and 2) with the media for not being impartial and objective, and 3) that more was not done to prevent voter registration fraud by ACORN and such outfits.  The last two items are not conducive to a fair and impartial election process.
