Great forward thinking on your part. Greenie to you ...

Suggestion: If you think of any kind of HTML section or simple utility that might ease the load, why not propose it - maybe one of the developers or Layout gurus can make something.

Also, if you have any cool tips for relative newbies in this regard, would be great. For example, I have been cataloguing a bunch of Region 2 DVDs that may not be in the database, and I plan to try my hand at contributions, but I'm a bit nervous about doing it correctly. Oh yeah, I just remembered the contributions rules document - I will certainly read that of course.
Thanks for your support.

Well, I will download the latest updates immediately before Ken switches to 3.5 contributions and then wait a few weeks until the initial "mayhem" is over. I wouldn't want to deal with any 3.5 profile updates before I have PCP ready anyway.

Sorry, Daddy DVD, I am confused.  Are you saying you believe that Ken is planning on pulling down Invelos?  After the amount of work, trials and tribulations in order to get it up and running.  Ken is still a fairly young man and Invelos, and currently DVDP are his 8 or more hour a day job.  Please be careful before starting rumors like this, even on accident.  A lot of our newbies just came here from defunct profiling sites and are nervous enough.

EDIT: Are you kidding me, some one actually gave me a red arrow for this!!!

EDIT: It is nice to know that questions are worth red arrows now.  I have received two for this post.

I believe in context with the topic, you should read it as "throws the switch", i.e. activates the ability to contribute profiles with the new version.  There are a significant number of international users of DVD profiler and the forums for whom English is a second (or third or more) language and sometimes things do not come out exactly as intended.

Johan is right, Martin's talking about the moment when Ken removes the stop on 3.5 contributions.

That's not necessary as the perfect tool (Profile Comparison Plus) for this, made by goodguy, is already in development.

Yes, Johan.  When I read "Pull the plug" I think of disconnecting something (like an electronic device), not opening the gates for new contributions.
Another Ken (not Ken Cole)

Yeah, 'pull the plug' to me means ending something, ie pulling the plug on a bath ends it

But then going off the thread title and the two posts after Martin's I figured what he meant quite easily.

But putting it in might end the bath too!
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

With Martin from the Netherlands, I guess "pulling the plug" could equate to opening the sluice(s) gate(s) which would cause a veritable flood of contributions!

Ah ha ... knew about the plugin - didn't realize that it was designed for exactly this - good, I will certainly use it when ready. Thanks. Greenie from me.
