I appear to have a new UPC for "The Onion Movie", so I thought I might try adding a profile reflecting this.

Here's the UPC (with 2-digit add-on)

02454351899050

UPCs in the database already are:

024543-519010
024543-518945

I can save it locally but cannot

Online -> Contribute DVD Profile

Because of this error message message.

Interestingly, "upcdatabase.com" doesn't know about this number either.

Same results with or without the add-on.

The Disc ID is the same one that DVD Profiler knows about already.

"Regency Entertainment" and "Monarchy Enterprises" are listed on the back cover, just like the back cover art in DVD Profiler's images database.

But the text profile says this:

Zucker-Netter Productions
3 Arts Entertainment
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment

So, how did someone determine these as the correct studios to list in the profiles?

Too many questions, so thanks in advance.

You have a nonstandard UPC there.
The UPCs or EANs accepted by DVDProfiler have 12 or 13 digits, depending on whether it's UPC or EAN-code.
So please recheck your UPC.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

The primary source for information about studios is the film credits, not the back cover.  I don't have the title in question, but I presume the contributor recorded the studios that were shown on screen (at least for Zucker-Netter and 3 Arts)
Another Ken (not Ken Cole)
Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges.

The upload worked as soon as soon as I removed the add-on digits.
