In honor of Veterans Day, the local talk radio station had a guest on air discussing the organization DVDs for Vets (dvds4vets.org).  According to their home page

Quote:
Our mission is to provide veterans who for any reasons cannot obtain DVDs on their own.

We are not politically affiliated nor solicit or receive financial assistance.

Donors help by giving new and used movies to Veterans, especially to those with limited access, in order to view the latest Hollywood releases.

So, if you have any DVDs you no longer want (multiple copies, double dips, etc.) please consider visiting this organization.  The representative on the radio said they particularly need children's DVDs which on the face of it seems unlikely.  However, DVDs like Sesame Street can be of use in rehabilitation programs -- like in helping disabled vets re-learn reading, mathematics, etc.

We should all remember and show our appreciation to our veterans.  This is one way to do so.

Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges.
