Can anyone recommend a good comic profiler and a book profiler?  I'm currently downloading Comicbase to try it out, I'll probably trial collectorz book/comic software next.

Have a look over at collectorz. I use their cdcollector and moviecollector.

As far as cataloging books, I cannot sing the praises of Library Thing enough.  It's not a program, but it's a wonderful service IMO.
If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.
