| | Posted: | | | | Well, after about 2000 DVDs, I finally had one go bad on me. Apollo 13 officially bit the dust. I've been reading for over a year now how this title was starting to rot away on folks. I even pulled my copy a year ago to check it. Last year it was good, this year not so much. Considering how infrequently this happens in DVD, I find it remarkable that I've been able to collect them for this long and only encounter it once. |

In this particular case, whatever the defect is, it's reasonably well documented. I became aware of a problem with this title well over a year ago through various DVD sites. I'm just glad that I don't have to replace all my disks every 10 years. To only have to deal with this one is pretty darn good. |
