| | Posted: | | | | I've been using DVDProfiler for a long time now and I still love it for all it does.
The extensive database is wonderful.
It is exactly such a thing that I've been looking for for my novels, graphic novels and comics.
I found a few programs, but they were nowhere near the flexibility level that I'm used to when filing my dvds.
Now I found myself thinking that I'm probably not the only person who's been looking for something like this. And someone might have actually succeeded where I failed.
So there you have it. Does anyone know of a program that can do with books, graphic novels and comics what DVDProfiler does with dvds? |

I'm currently trying out Library Thing myself. I'm finding that although it has a few nice features (very community based), quite a few of my comics either aren't in the system or don't have much data attached (a lot without covers too). I haven't added any books yet so it may be better on that front. |

BookDB2 is far from perfect, but there are workarounds for some things, and for the most part it suits my purposes. | | Posted: | | | | I have the collectorz one...while it has almost everything I wanted, the new version (from the fall, 6.0, I believe) will make it VERY hard to deal with anything pre-ISBN, which is about half of my collection. However, it is easy to use and install. I got a cuecat, and was able to just scan in the barcodes for most of the ones that had them.
I kept the old version 5, but I don't think that one is still available. They do have a free trial though...I'm looking for something else, though, if that helps. | | | | Lori |
