OK... I wants some opinions... take a look at the image below...

for that I have the Overview as...

Quote:
In season 2 of the acclaimed drama, Emmy® Award winner* Patricia Arquette continues to give "the best, most honest and most captivating... performance by a woman in television" (L.A. Weekly). Her visions get stronger as she works to solve crimes and protect the innocent.

With her unique gift, Allison DuBois can see the fuiture and converse with the dead. This season, her dreams send her on the trail of missing coeds, anti-terrorist agents and serial killers. But her ultimate challenge comes when she confronts an unexpecting force...the Angel of Death (Kelsey Grammer). She still sees what others can't. And her visions only get stronger with time.

*Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, 2005

Notice the parts I put in bold (here only)..I left a space after the first ellipsis... but none after the second as there is no space after the second. The first is right at a line-break. But it is not like when a line-break is in the middle of a word and has a dash in the middle of the word. So I am considering this to be exactly as on the case... as the rules tells us.

My question is... am I thinking correctly here? or is this the same as a line break in the middle of the word... even though there is no dash.

I personally don't think that just because paragraph 2 don't have a space is enough reason to say there is not to be one in paragraph one.... but what do you think?

We're not trying to duplicate text justification on the overviews. Had "captivating..." been in the middle of the sentence there'd be no space. Therefore, IMO, no space after elipses.

I would have handled this the exact same way you have.

my problem with this is the rule just says exactly... and I have nothing here to tell me for sure if it was in the middle of the sentence that there would be no space. I have a hard time saying just because it is in one place in the overview like that... that it would be the same way elsewhere in the overview.

The only problem I have with that is that I read "she confronts an unexpected force", and it is written "when she confronts an unexpecting force".

and also "fuiture" when it is written "future"

Before looking at space justification, perhaps look at typos...

I think logically that would be hard to refute. If someone were to try and posit that argument, they would not be able to convince me, I would probably think they had some sort of agenda. Like 8Ball says were aren't duplicating the justification.

Thanks for the heads up on the typos... I am always happy to fix something when I miss it.

But I do feel the rolling of the eyes is a bit insulting... even the best of us makes mistakes... and I don't particularly appreciate being talked down to over something like that.

Sometimes i see ellipsis in the middle of a sentence with a space afterwords, mostly i see them without a trailing space.

If i see them at the end of a line and i'm creating the Overview i'd enter them without a space.  If others have already transcribed it with a space i don't modify that.

My $0.02.

This is only an update... so someone else did transcribe it. But at the same time I did have to correct force... the --> force...the

And just for the record I do see them with the space just as much as I do without in my collection.

The second example "force...the" i didn't even notice.  With that example in the same credits what you did makes sense.

he was correct in the typos Skip... the typos was in the profile. Not on the box. I am just waiting to see what the majority thinks here before I resubmit so I can do all that needs to be done at once.

Strictly speaking, no space is required after an elipsis. Some prefer adding it. I would put no space after the first to conform to the style evidenced by the second instance. But I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

I understand that way of thinking... that is why I am conflicted here. I am just not sure but conforming to the other one to me feels a bit like going away from copying the overview exactly like the rules say.
