| | Posted: | | | | Big Brother is here. This is a photo from the 2009 Inauguration, in which you can see IN FOCUS the face of each individual in the crowd !!! You can scan, double click and zoom to any section of the crowd... wait a few seconds... and the focus adjusts. The picture was taken with a robotic camera at 1,474 megapixel. (295 times the standard 5 megapixel camera). Makes you wonder who's watching us right now! | | | Martin Zuidervliet

It was taken with a 'Canon PowerShot G10 at 14.7 MP. This is a 'Gigapan', an image that is created by stitching multiple images together. Simply attach your camera to it, then the Epic directs you through the steps to capture a gigapixel image. | | Posted: | | | | Having only recently given up my old Canon A1 for a digital 450D, I've just started experimenting with pano shots & stitching them together in Photoshop, and I'm totally hooked. I satarted with some hand-held try-outs from The Grand & Bryce Canyons last August, and was pretty pleased with them. I got a Manfrotto pano head & tripod for Xmas. I've not had much opportunity to try it out, but Madame Mole & I are going to Bath (Somerset, UK) for our 25th anniversary in a couple of weeks. Bath is an incredibly photogenic place......so I don't know what Sue thinks we'll be doing on our weekend away from kids, cats, DIY, etc., etc....but I've got an 8GB memory card to fill up!  | | | | Chris | | | | Last edited: by Mole |
