I'm a little bit puzzled: the slipcover and box cover of Stargate The Ark of Truth are the exact same thing (save for the 'blu-ray' border on top).

Being reflective as it is, the slipcover is barely readable, so I submitted my scans of the box cover (according to the rules, we are allowed to do so if the quality of the slipcover is too bad).

http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=310521&PageNum=LAST

However, my submission was rejected because it wasn't a scan of the slipcover.

So I'm confused. Which is it now?
a) always use the slipcover, even if the quality is horrendous
or
b) allowed to use the box covers instead of slipcover, if both covers are the same and the slipcover scan is unreadable

If a), then the rules will need to be amended. if b), then I don't see why my submission got rejected.

I'm not looking to cause any trouble over this but I would just like to know which rules or guidelines I should follow from hereon in.

Apparantely the screeners didn't feel that the slip cover was as bad as you think it is and opted to maintain the correct image in the database.

Your notes say "Also, unchecked the 'slip cover' option, so the 'blu-ray' border will be added on top." – which isn't the answer and would have gotten a no vote from me.

Subsequent contributions are trying a different tack that shouldn't force data modification to accommodate the scan.
Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!

Ahhh...I see now where the problem lies. If you scan the HD Slim case cover but then uncheck the slip cover check box you are removing valid data because afterall, the title in question was released with a slip cover. That would also get a NO vote from me as well.

Taro, someone has already submitted something that corrects this problem.

I actually started a thread about this in this very subforum...

the blue banner on the slip cover that supposed to be scanned  makes it different.  there's one now that is acceptable they put blue banner on there's.

you didn't change the slip cover option  you forgot to check the box when you submitted.

Thank you all for explaining. I understand the difference now and will keep it in mind for future submissions.
