Perhaps I have two good eyes, but still don't see




The current problems at Invelos are similar to the econmic problems. Allow me to explain. In the go go days of real estate, all you had to do was fog a mirror & you got a mortgage, now in addition to the normal financial hurdles, you also need a clean colonoscopy, before you get your house. The pendulm swung from real easy too real hard. Over time mortgage market will level out, become more realistic. Over reaction occured in both directions & time will correct. What does this have to do with Invelos? We've gone from what SOME say is a name calling bad place, to what some others say is a place that stifles free speech. Somewhere between these two boundaries, lies the real truth. The mechanism works like this: masses post > complaints to the creator > creator implements a plan > still more complaints > more drastic measures by the creator. No matter what system is in place ( creator ) we will have the same problems, they will manifest themselves in differnt areas. What should we do? Understand the majority of people here are good, while a minority can be jerks. Nothing new here. Should you find yourself being attacked by a 'jerk' the majority will see this attack & silently empthaize. What generally happens is we give POWER to the jerk, we buy into what that person is saying, become offended & go into attack revenge mode. Stop giving power to the jerks, I suggest should the community recognize, somone's under attack one or two individuals PM the target & show empthay for him or her. This will make the target feel better & be a sign of support. Want to really bug the jerk, target respond, to the jerk with kindness, he soon will discover that your no fun to attack. Creator give this a chance, allow forbidden topics, as an experiment. Can the community stop shooting arrows, & other forms of complaints long enough to matter? I think we can, It's a matter of not taking the bait. For those who choose to leave, use the time away to reflect on your own attitudes & beliefs (walk that mile in anothers shoes), & hopefully come back, a better person.
