| Posted: April 10, 2009 4:14 AM | | | | Just curious as to whether or not anyone else noticed, But...
There is a New Breed of Blu-Rays out there.
Concerts recorded Live. Called Sound Stage. Found them at the Local Mall.
Great Quality, but one problem. MOST of them scan into DVD Profiler. (Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty, etc...)
But when I scan the Michael McDonald one? Number not found. Do I want to input manually? I don't have any idea on how you make the hi-res pics so perfect.
If it is fairly easy? I will be glad to contribute, I simply don't know how. Also, if anyone else has this one and knows how to enter?
Awesome.
It is understood that these may be considered "Nerdy"...
But my Down Syndrome Daughter responds well to audio / video. Concerts on the 70" Theater look awesome.
Oh, the Michael McDonald Sound Stage Bar Code is, 890039001303
Thanks. |

| Posted: April 10, 2009 4:58 AM | | | | Creating new profiles is fairly easy... The contribution rules would be a good start, there is a good explenation to the process there. Dont know if this is the same as you have Michael McDonald: A Gathering of Friends (809274092229) But if it is it could be a good start for a new profile... The process of using existing profiles is explained easely in this recent post | | | We are all at the same age, only at different time... |

| Posted: April 10, 2009 6:09 AM | | | | Don't think that this is explained in the rules, but it is selfexplaining when you edit an profile.
Either double click on the profile just created, or the profile you want to change and you get the Edit profile dialog box open and there you can change all the stuff including the scans. To create a new profile from scratch you simply try to add the profile by UPC that is not there and you are promped to enter the infor for that UPC.
Scans: You can inport an image or scan directly (the inport is the best as you can prepare the image in PhotoShop or equal) It is best to scan your images self but if you dont have an scanner, many people take the scans from the online shops and use those (usually of poorer quality than possible, and there is not always you get the back or that it may have prerelease coverart not the same as the one sold) Also be aware that the rules says not to use scans with watermarks on them.
The help function in the Profiler will also guide you thru some of those steps, good luck. | | | We are all at the same age, only at different time... |

| Posted: April 10, 2009 2:28 PM | | | | Wow. Thank you. I am so Sorry for being so ignorant about this. Right when I read "Scan" I realized. I had no idea that Scanning had come so far. (I am OLD) I am unsure if my old scanner, which I almost never use, can scan good enough... |

| Posted: April 10, 2009 3:25 PM | | | | I am pretty shure your scanner is good enough, I think its about 150dpi or something needed for scans in the profiles witch has an limitation of 700 x 500 and a max of 195K size, but the program will downsize the picture automaticly if to big so dont worry, scan in the best possible size for "home" use and eiter downsize it in PhotoShop or just let Invelos do it for you at contribution. regards Ole Once you start making your own profiles and contributing you may not be able to stop... | | | We are all at the same age, only at different time... |

| Posted: April 13, 2009 6:09 AM | | | | See that Your scans are exelent aswell I would say, and you where worried about that... As you ask for input I'll put down some comments for you. The Sound Stage looks to me as to be a trademark and should be mention after the main title or be the edition like Michael McDonald: Sound Stage , would like others to come in and say somthing about that as well because I am not shure how to handle that... I see that all US titles that I can find is handeled the way you have done so it should maybe stay that way, often the first person starting an series like this sets the standard for the upcomming editions althou I think it should be as this Sound Stage edition from Germany 7321921991868 or Brazil 7898420124412 You can also include more info to your editions so that it can be searchable inside your collection, like: Genre: Music (then you can search for music and it will show up) You can add the studios involved: H D Ready (not HD Ready "think" it is this company ), LLC and WTTW National Production Features if there are some, like scene access and so on... Audio if known Cast would be Michael McDonald, Ashford & Simpson, Patrick Simmons and Tom Johnston all credited as themselves, there are also an director there Joe Thomas. (If there are some kind of cerdit given in the feature playing you should use that, not the cover info as I have now) You can aslo include the track list to the Overview Mark that the profile is fine just as it is and the adding of the info I have mention here is NOT mandatory! It should considered to be a fun hobby not work | | | We are all at the same age, only at different time... |
