There aren't very many British series that, when re-made for the US market, do well.  'Eleventh Hour', however, is quite enjoyable.  I guess it just goes to show how good things can be when they are managed by a good Executive Producer.

In addition, I have to thank you guys for Gordon Ramsay.  He is quite the character to watch.  I used to think he was just putting us yanks on but, catching Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares on BBC America, I see that he is what he is.

So, thanks for two British imports that I really enjoy.  One question though...while I have figured out what "Bollocks" are, what does "Godsmacked" mean?
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Thanks for the correction...and the meaning.

Seconded. Really enjoy the show (and will definitely get it when it comes to DVD).

Think about what people do when they're really surprised... their hands shoot up to cover their mouth... gobsmacked!

Yea, but that only works if you know that 'gob' means mouth.

Am I supposed to write something here?
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

If you want to see what 'bollocks' means just watch this scene (or another other scene for that matter) of Bottom:

Eddie gets a kick in the bollocks

Technically, bollocks means "Collection of Male Clergy" as a collective noun
Signature? We don't need no stinking... hang on, this has been done... blast [oooh now in Widescreen]
Ah... well you see.... I thought I'd say something more interesting... but cannot think of anything..... oh well
