| Posted: | | | | Yesterday I made some changes in the profile for Perfect Creature (8-715664-042656 - locality: Netherlands). In the existing profile Howard Bargroff was entered as Sound Re-Recording Mixer. In the movie credits he's credited as Dubbing Mixer. I always thought that Dubbing Mixers weren't allowed (they aren't even mentioned in the rules). So I removed this entry in my contributions. I got a NO vote stating that he shouldn't be removed because its allowed by the Rules interpretation.
So the Dubbing Mixer is the same as a Sound Re-recording Mixer and is allowed to be entered as such by the Rules? | | | Cor |

Direct translations of a role, as in this case from British to American English, is allowed | | | The colour of her eyes, were the colour of insanity |

| Posted: | | | | "Dubbing mixer" is the functional equivalent to "sound re-recording mixer". Some people argue that it is also a direct translation (US to UK). While direct translations of role names are allowed by the rules, functional equivalents are not. Make your choice and hope for a clarification of the rules. |
