| Posted: | | | | I have discovered a plethera of errors on all three copies of Monsters, Inc ( usa / canada/ quebec) region 1 DVD .# /786936177169 usa /786936164886 canada / 786936177169 (quebec). Bad scans , incorrect Titled Cover titles/ running times/ cast and crew / localities /overviews/ features/ disc ID/ video formats/studios/ audio tracks/ srp (both canada) /
Most if not all the errors are on the two Canadian Issued releases .. I've recently added to my wishlist/ordered section and the amount of errors has prompted me to write this post ..

| Posted: | | | | Well, this perfectly illustrates one of the big problems with our system here. I would love to fix those messy profiles, but unfortunately, I don't own any of those UPC-locality combos of Monsters, Inc. The simple fact that you have to make a public plea shows that there are few users that will update those specific profiles. My R1-USA profile must be the most common UPC because there have been 8 approved updates to the profile here at Invelos, including recent ones to bring it up to 3.5 standards. The cast and crew data in your profiles affects the CLT results for all of us, yet most of us can't do anything about it. I've ordered some DVDs recently from iNet Video in Canada and received Canadian versions. I've noticed those profiles are primarily garbage, so I have some work to do there. There's simply not enough users in your locality in my opinion to keep things updated unfortunately. | | | ...James

| Posted: | | | | And this show how important the correct title is: "All" in this case equals Canada or region 1. This is not defined as all in the rest of the world |

This is not defined as all in the rest of the world I know it's terrible then one region disregard the rules and submit shoddy profiles and bring the whole database down... |

| Posted: | | | | I have Region 1, 786936-164886 (purchased at a Kmart retail store in the US). Everything in that profile matches my disc (though I didn't go through the cast/crew in detail) except running time appears to be off by one minute and "Galleries" should probably be checked in the features. | | | Last edited: by Mixmaster_Mal |

Some advice for you.
You state that the running time is off by one minute, and my immediate reaction was... off against WHAT, the back cover or the disc itself. If you are referring to the Cover then I suggest you check the Actual runtime of the disc.
I just looked at myine and there is a one minute discrepancy between the Cover and the profile and that is because the Cover is WRONG. This is all detailed in the Rules.
From the very first page of the Rules "The authoritative source for information submitted should be the DVD itself. Please don't submit content from a third party database, and always verify the specifications printed on the cover. In both cases, errors abound, so always verify the information directly from the DVD whenever possible."
AND from the Film details section "Running Time Use the Running time specified on the DVD cover unless you can verify there is a discrepancy between that and the actual Running time. When contributing an accurate, DVD-based, time from the DVD, round down from 29 seconds and up from 30 seconds in the nearest minute. Include your verification method in your Contribution Notes. For instance, note that a given movie has an actual Running time of 119: 37, Running time would be 120 even if the case said 119 or 121.
For branching titles, or those with multiple versions (e.g. Theatrical and Director's Cut) on the same disc, use the longest running time. Exception: If the longer version is available only as part of an Easter Egg, use the shorter running time."
