Does Lightning by equals Lighting Director, and then he get's the Cinematographer credit? | | | "What's God?" "You know when you want something really bad and you wish for it?, God's the guy that ignores you" -The Island, Steve Buscemi |

| Posted: | | | | As this is a UK television programme I would say no. In my experience "lighting director" is a studio based crew member who is responsible for the lighting like a cinematographer but has no input on the camera side of things. If it had been "Lighting Camera" then yes, a cinematographer credit would have been suitable, but not lighting director. |

| Posted: | | | | I agree, Lighting Director sounds like the Gaffer to me. The Gaffer is the Head of the electrical dept., which is in charge of placing the lights where the Cinematographer asks in order to light the scene. | | | Chris |
