| Posted: | | | | Pardon if this has been asked before in another context. The film in question is A River Made to Drown In. The director is currently listed in the profile as James Merendino. Screen credit reads Alan Smithee. Should the profile be changed to: 1. Alan Smithee 2. James Merendino [Alan Smithee] or should it remain: 3. James Merendino I went to try to verify the credit, and Merendino is listed (or credited) as the director by the following: - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0165445/ - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_River_Made_to_Drown_In - http://www.philfilms.utm.edu/2/merendino.htm - http://www.chamberlainfans.net/reviews/rivers.htm - http://www.richard-chamberlain.info/opens/LarryKing.html | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield | | | Last edited: by Danae Cassandra |

I think that they needed to ask the DGA if it was ok and might have had to prove that the studio made changes to the film that they did not approve of. Number 2; James Merendino credited as Alan Smithee would be how I would enter it. pdf | | | Paul Francis San Juan Capistrano, CA, USA |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks everyone! I knew what Alan Smithee meant, I just wasn't sure how Profiler handled it. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield | | | Last edited: by Danae Cassandra |
