When this came out this fall, I really liked it, but I kept on telling myself it was way too expensive, a double dip which I hate to do and have only done a handful of times, I have no extra space...and I lasted until this weekend.  *groans* Darn half off sale!

So I did it.  *sigh* Got the Indiana Jones Borders exclusive with the replica fedora hat, which is now gracing Jack Skellington's head head on my tv stand.

Take a look...looks better in person!

It has its own UPC but other than the fedora, it just contains Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventure Collection.  I have to admit, to me, on this one, I bought the hat rather than the movies...When I first saw it, I priced just the hat and it was about 80/90 bucks alone...so since I got it for $55, I'm only feeling a little guilty...lol!

"Expensive" is relative.

"space" is a factor?

Ah. Half off. Something I understand.

See, you had extra space after all.

Guilt?

In other words, enjoy!

Hi Guys! *Waves*

Glad to know I'm not alone here...not that I was in any real doubt... :devilish

Thanks for helping the guilt!  I'm feeling better already!

@Kathy: Check out your local Borders...mine is getting rid of about 80% of their DVDs (and cds) which are marked down to 50% off...if they have a box set let, it's probably on the list.  I know we had one left (that I didn't buy...I'm not THAT bad!) on Sunday when I was in there.  Normal price was 109.99, down to half off, isn't a bad deal!

You should store it upside down. It's not good for the rim to store it like that. It will not have any shape left before long.

I wouldn't worry too much about double dipping. We are all guilt of that.

I'll end up probably storing it in the box it came with...it had pretty good packaging on the inside to help keep the shape, but right now it's actally resting on a sculpture/bust of Jack Skellington from Nightmare Before Christmas...nothing touching the brim...  But, like I said, it'll probably go into the box soon, just so it doesn't get ruined until I figure out a good display spot for it...

How big is it?  I am wondering if it would fit on my Caesar's, from the Planet of the Apes collection, head.

And I am with you, I buy these for the swag, the DVD/Blu-ray is just a bonus.

Well, do you mean the hat's size?  It's a good size...I'd say average size.  If you mean Jack's, well, fairly small.  But here, I'll let you judge for yourself.

Lori, congrats on that cool DVD set. (If it was on Bu-ray, I'd consider...)

I have five of those. ...if I don't count previously own laserdiscs or video.

I think the "most-owned" film for me must be Dawn of the Dead. I owned a VHS, then a laserdisc, then a DVD and now the Blu-ray. Hmmm, that's only four... Then I think Texas Chainsaw Massacre is better, which I believe I owned in five incarnations (twice on laser, twice on DVD and now on Blu-ray). I think The Thing is also owned four times already...

Ah, so it is a 'real' hat, not a mini replica.  I have the Jack bust as well, and he isn't a whole lot bigger than Caesar so the hat probably wouldn't fit.  Still, it is nice swag.  I may have to make a run for the border.

Well, for me, I think it's Dirty Dancing...have 2 dvd copies and had a VHS copy.  It's one of the few I have and it was hard for me to buy that 2nd dvd copy but the extras were too much for me and got a good deal...around 10, so easy to justify.  This was a hard one because it was more than that and a double dip!  I usually feel that I should spend that money for something I don't have, rather than something I already do that's not broken.

Hmm, well, I haven't seen it on Blu-ray with the hat, but there is a website for the hats themselves at www.indianajoneshats.net.  But just checked that out and am not seeing prices anymore...they may have changed since Christmas (the last time I looked at it).

To be honest, I didn't check today if the last hat was still there (I work there so it's fairly easy for me to check), but if someone really wanted one, let me know, I'm sure we can work something out...
