| Posted: | | | | I have a question regarding submissions that haven't been released yet:
example: I submitted a back cover scan of the X-Men trilogy Blu-ray set (US), because that wasn't in the database yet. My submission gets negative votes because in the mean time, another user had submitted such a cover scan (which isn't released in the Database yet).
Is there any way to verify such things to avoid doing the same work twice by two users? Scanning a cover isn't a big deal but if it's inputting the cast and crew, it would be painful to see it denied because the work was already done by another user.
Any suggestions how to check this? | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |

| Posted: | | | | It should have been listed in the previous contribution notes. I try to always remember to read the previous notes before making a contribution for any title. | | | Pete |

This has been my experience as well... even confirmed to me when I was PMing with someone about a title to find they had it to vote on and I didn't.. even though we had the same disc (Same UPC... Same Locality) Unfortunately can't remember the title now though. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I notice on a regular basis that when I download updates for my collection there are several entries I never got offered a vote on. Notice the same thing, Pete? It always makes me carefully previewing all updates first. I wish this would be fixed at some point... | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

| Posted: | | | | Yup... I have seen it many times before... even way back in the Intervocative days. And it can't be me just missing the chance to vote as I am ALWAYS at the voting page every day... several times a day. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Are you sure these are updates on already existing profiles? Maybe it was an initial contribution where you already had a local profile. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Yes, I'm sure and No, it was not an initial contribution - I've seen it happen for profiles that have existed for years and that I've owned for years. | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

| Posted: | | | | Yup... I am positive. I have been seeing this off an on for years... all been stuff I originally downloaded from the site... but never had the opportunity to vote on some of the updates. | | | Pete |
