Anybody else take time from watching dvd's and check out American Idol this year?
This has to be the best season with the 3 best contestants left. Adam Lambert is the one to beat( and my favorite) but Danny Gokey and Kris Allen have strong fan bases too! My wife being a huge Kris fan! Will be watching tonight, my pick for top 2: Adam and Kris(at least me and my wife will be happy if it ends up that way!

Gokey got robbed!!!  Seriously he has the best voice of the 3 remaining, but Kris got the pretty boy teenage girl votes while Adam got the seriously talented performer vote all around!!!  Anyone who believes either of the 2 finalists can sing better then Danny Gokey needs to have their ears examined!!!

I figured out that the highest percentage of votes that Danny could've gotten (using the statistics of 86 million votes and also 1 million votes separating first and second) is:

30 million - 35% - 1st
29 million - 34% - 2nd
27 million - 31% - Danny

Of course, there are scenarios where 1st and 2nd got more votes than that, but that would push Danny lower.

Kris was in the bottom three once. He was sent to "safety" first. That was the week that Adam was in the bottom two. When it came to the top four, they didn't do a bottom three, so it's only known that Kris was actually in the bottom three a single time.

The judges used the save on Matt who was voted off two weeks following his save.

I was INCREDIBLY happy to see Danny Gokey go last night. There's just something about him that irks me. Everytime he performs, I feel like I'm watching a combination of Wayne Newton with the lame white boy moves and a singer from one of those annoying Christian infomercials. I don't think I could sit through an entire record of Danny, no matter how well he sings.

I'm actually kind of rooting for Kris. I didn't particularly like him at first, I thought he got put into the Top 13 on a fairly subpar performance (when he sang Man in the Mirror) but each week he just kept getting better and better and better, with his performance of Heartless on Tuesday just being the icing on the cake.

I know he can't sing as well as Adam or Danny, but sometimes, it's not just about the voice. I think Kris (and Adam) have the potential to be 100x the artist that Danny could ever hope to be.

Very excited for the finale next week!
