| Posted: | | | | Good evening, Sirs, I'm working on a profile including this crew: Hm, 'Speical' Effects could be plain scrambled letters. On the other hand, we are told to assume nothing, and 'Speical Effects' is explicitly against the rules. How should this credit be handled? Love, bbbbb | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |

| Posted: | | | | I've been using a local rule for myself, where older films that have no other effects credits except the way too vague "Special Effects", get a local credit for Special Effects. Submitting would be against the rules, so this way they'll be there when the rules are re-written or re-worded. |

| Posted: | | | | I wouldn't argue that, bbbb, as long as you don't fix the film-generated typo. I would include in my notes that it was apparently a film-generated typo. I say apparently simply because none of us have any inside knowledge, this could be some sort of strange inside joke, along the lines of say poking someone in the ribs for aluminium. or nucular. | Posted: | | | | | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Either you seriously believe that it is possible that the film makers actually made up a brand new credit just for this film called "Speical Effects" ? Or you believe that the Rules actually wish to prevent the entry of legitimate "Special Effects" crew members because the rolename was mis-spelled in the credits? Or, you're just being cute? I think I know the answer, actually! | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

I think I know the answer, actually! Not convinced about that. It's obvious that I did not intend to evaluate myself but the potential voters. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |
