| | Posted: | | | | I think it's time I checkied out a Bollywood film or two  I know there's a massive range of them but can anyone recommend any that would suit a newbie such as myself? The only experience I've had of them has been when I've been ordering my kebab on a Friday night, but I've enjoyed what I've seen.  |

You can get your feet wet with directors Mira Nair (Monsoon Wedding, Kama Sutra) and Gurinder Chadha (Bride & Prejudice, Bend It Like Beckham) (English-Bollywood flavored...) and then dive in with Straight from the Heart (with Aishwarya Rai, who was in Bride & Prejudice), Lagaan (scored by A.R. It had a US release, but that seems to have been discontinued.
