This post and poll is for those of you who enjoy downloading people's headshot contributions from the headshot database thread.

Every so often I search long and hard for a particular headshot, and in the end all I can find is something of questionable quality. Say super low res, or a screen cap of the person where he's only in profile, etc.

My own personal feelings on the matter is that I'd rather have something than nothing. So I add even those kinds of headshots. But I can totally understand if someone would rather have nothing than having a really crappy picture. If for no other reason than that person then not having a little icon next to their name, and is therefore easier to identify as needing a headshot.

Anyway, I thought I'd create this poll to help me decide whether I should include questionable quality headshots in my contributions, or just keep them local.

For an example of what I'm talking about, here's Bolaji Badejo who played the alien in the original Alien movie. As you can see it is craptacular, so... would you prefer to have this photo rather than nothing?

I think with this one I would say no. Although it probably is the right person, it's not clear enough to say with 100% certainty.

That's not to say I don't appreciate the effort, I most certainly do. It's just I do think you've got to get to a quality where you have to decline a picture.

Re this headshot - I use them to identify the actors - and this example is useless for that so it would be pointless to me.

I'd say anything is better than nothing, as it might help people in finding a replacement. Especially if it's a really unknown actor, even the lowest resolution might help identifying the person.
