| Posted: | | | | I have a box set, 3 movies, It is in a Digipak w/Slip Cover The images of the slip cover are used for the profiles
The digipak has a different image, including if fully unfolded 'back cover' images for each of the three movies.
I realize the rules say to use scans of the slip cover, but since these 'back covers' are specific to each movie and contain the overview for that movie I think it is valid to use the images from the digipak for the child profiles. Also, the child profiles have their case type as Digipak. No mention of the Slip Cover. So why is the cover scan of something thats not in the profile.
My thought process here is that since the digipak images are more specific to the individual movie that they are more appropriate for the child profile. additionally, the child profiles only list the digipak as the case type so its within the rules to use that for the cover scans.

| Posted: | | | | The "Tales from the Crypt" season sets are this way in the online database. The inside of the foldout Digipak is what was scanned for the child profiles. Sounds like the same scenario as yours.

| Posted: | | | | Check This ThreadAnd THIS THREADYou use the Slip Case Scans for both Parent and Child Profiles for Digipaks All except for Season 1 (Keep Case) and 2 (Digipak) Tales from the Crypt discs are in thinpak cases inside a Slip Case. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Maybe I am thinking of the individual thinpaks from the later seasons. I thought I saw the inside of the digipak as cover scan for the individual discs from the 1st or 2nd season but I guess I am getting old, memory is on the way out.........................

Dirk Yeah, I tried to submit season 2 children with scans of the inner digi, noting that it matched the later seasons and had good revavent info, but was shot down on the images. I kept them for my local and think I may've hosted them for others in another thread. Personally I'd like to see the rules changed for these situations, and hate having the same picture for all the kids when there are better, revavent parts of the package that can be used. |

You use the Slip Case Scans for both Parent and Child Profiles for Digipaks
All except for Season 1 (Keep Case) and 2 (Digipak) Tales from the Crypt discs are in thinpak cases inside a Slip Case. I was looking at the original threads and for the one the problem as the digpak scan was of the disc part for the front. The new submitted profile that this thread is in reference to the digpak has a fold out flap which is used for the front of the digipak and each movie has a unique back. Where after re-reading the rules I see this can be rejected with the key being "If a film is individually packaged, use the cover images from that packaging." With individually being the important part. What I do not see is any reference to the type of packaging For example "for Digipaks use..." The interesting part is that I know of MANY cases where the child profiles are for 2 discs per child profile each containing different films or 2-4 movies on a single disc per child profile and not an individual film yet the child profiles use the individual discs packaging as the child profile artwork. So it seems like very inconsistent applying of the rules as they are currently worded. It is more based on teh type of packaging rather then if individually packaged as in the rules. TV Box sets are also real big on each child profile contain 2+ discs but since those are one TV series in most cases I guess that is considered one "film" (season, etc) |
