I know there's some users here from (or near) Mass, so I thought this might be fun!

The Fighter will be filming scenes July 14-16 in Lowell, MA and they are looking for unpaid extras.  The film stars Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale, both of whom are expected on set those days.  It is being directed by David Russell and is the real-life story of boxer Micky Ward.

I've signed up for the 16th myself, since the other days were listed as "stand-by".  However, looking again, all 3 days are showing space available.  While it is unpaid, they are offering free food & CD/DVD give-aways.

If interested, you can request to be signed up: here

BTW - this begs the question...if I can visually verify myself onscreen when the film is released, does that mean I can add myself as uncredited in the cast list?

Yes!
Provided, of course, that you give sufficient information. I'm quite sure that a "I know it, because it's me" will not convince everybody. So it will need the usual documentation (timestamp + identification help)
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

So this means quoting IMDB as documentation would not be enough?
