| Posted: | | | | God dag, Sirs,
I'm working on a profile with norwegian language credits.
And feel overchallenged, as usual.
Does someone have something like a translation table at hand, with the common Roles we are after?

| Posted: | | | | You could just check the Norwegian profile if it has the credits listed. |

Great find Quoting whispering: Quote: You could just check the Norwegian profile if it has the credits listed. I think this could be a problem if there is a) no complete profile and b) unfortunately you don't know if this profile is filled correctly and all credits are really correct according to rules and movie credits... |

Perhaps I could might have trusted in the correct reading of the credits, the correct translations, and the correct assignment to the official crew Roles, but the only norwegian profile is incomplete. And by the way, Norway, Country of Origin, got only an erroneous full frame video format. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. | Posted: | | | | Motive: To maybe of some help... As this is one of the more international Norwegian films I am suprised if some of the profiles wouldt be correct... myself I bought the criterion DVD 037429138229 from US I would trust Erik to have done a good work on this profile, not able to check it now, but I am very shure that it will give a good base anyway. This said I have difficulty of translating the roles to English myself from Norwegian, not so mutch that I dont understand the role in Norwegian as what the roles do in English... and when there is differences between UK English and US English roles I got more confused... But the translator linked does help. | | | We are all at the same age, only at different time... |

Would you say that "Kostymesjef" could be translated into the category Costumes/Costume Supervisor/Costume Designer? "Optiske effekter" into Visual Effects? Would "Fotograf" rather be Cinematographer, or Director of Photography? | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |

Would "Fotograf" rather be Cinematographer, or Director of Photography? "Kostymesjef" would be Costume Supervisor in my opinon. "Optiske effekter" would be Visual effects. And "Fotograf" Cinematographer. If its "Sjefsfotograf", it would be DoP. I think.. | | | "What's God?"
