| Posted: | | | | When I add a collection, say the Spiderman Trilogy, I add the trilogy and it asks me to add the 3 child movies. So the actual movies are held in the child movies and the Trilogy entry is really just the cardboard case they are contained in. Well the Trilogy entry shows up as one DVD and therefore affects all reports with all the different categories as well. Is there any way to keep the Trilogy entry, the parent, but not have it affect my report results? (rating, studios, genre, etc?) Thanks! |

| Posted: | | | | well for reports you can just filter it out and then run the report on the currently filtered data. I believe you can do the same for the charts/graphs too but I'm not sure and don't have dvd profiler here to check.
the way I, and many people, filter out box sets is through tags. For instance, I have a tag set up called Boxset and then under that child tags for Box, Movie, Bonus. I tag each profile with the appropriate descriptor and can then filter it out in various ways when needed. (Mine is actually a bit more complicated as I have separate tags for movie box sets and tv box sets)
there are quite a few posts on how to use tags, the best way to search the forums is to use google search and add 'site:invelos.com' to your search term as it will then just search this site.
