That particular monitor comes with calibration software, a CD or DVD.  Put it in your ROM and run it.  message should go away.

If you changed the settings from the default settings of the monitor and want to keep them this way, all you'd have to do is check the little box in the lower left corner.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

apparently it is some sort of message from the photoshop software that doesn't like your monitor. Since you said you had no problems before using photoshop and the window does say "Editor - Photoshop Elements 6.0" It maybe that your monitor is newer than the Photoshop software you are using.

It sounds like checking that little box on the left has solved your problem.

I have that message crop up from times to time at work. I usually just fire up Calibrize and run through it. Usually fixes it.

Have you checked your drivers, even new products occasionally need updates.

If your PC didn't come with a driver/software update program try:
pareto's DriverCure, Driver Detective, etc. Or check the video or PC's web site.

As I write this, I'm down loading a driver update for my NVIDIA Getforce. A fun filled 70.91 MB.
This must be the third or four time in a couple of years.

or for software a freebe: CNET's techtracker, etc.
We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.
