| Posted: | | | | Can anyone help with what I should do to get around this problem?
Star Trek Motion Picture Trilogy, UPC code 097361-427645. I am trying to create the child profiles for this box set. What the problem is, is that I can pull the disk ID for disk 1, and download the proper titled profile for it. It is blank, as no one has done anything with this set yet. But when I put disk 2 in and pull, it asks me if I want to download the profile for Star Trek Motion Picture Trilogy. The title it should be seeing is In Search of Spock. Should I just go ahead and download the profile and edit the title? Any idea as to why it reads the 2nd disk id this way? |

| Posted: | | | | I downloaded it to see what info it has. In the disk info box, it has all 3 movie titles and disk IDs, and in the Side A info slot the title "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan". The general info box has the title "Star Trek Motion Picture Trilogy" |

| Posted: | | | | I put the DVD in another DVD drive on another computer, it came up with an error saying that the DVD has the wrong region code. Unless they re-release this set with the proper code, we can't add the profiles. |

| Posted: | | | | Someone in the past contributed the box set UPC 097361-427645, blank. Nothing wrong with that. but if you try to pull info from the disk ids for the 3 disks is when you run into problems. I am just going to give the set away, and try to find the movies as special additions. |

| Posted: | | | | OK Rom< I thnk I have the answer for you, it may get a little complicated. I think the titles are Online. The films were earlier released this year as part of Star Trek: Original Motion Picture Collection AND t the trilogy released at the SAME time. It's probably the same Disc ID in both sets for the three films that are involved. It appears that the 6-Dosc Set had no takers either. To make matters even worse, the filmms were released as stand-alones in September. Those Profiles have been set-up, I suspect they use the same Disc ID, you could download those and change the UPC to Disc ID and submit anychanges that might be needed including the Cover Art, in this way, if my theory is correct the stand-alones would be fine and have their cover art and so would your trilogy.
I hope this helps you it's a bit convoluted and i can only theorize since I already have the entire set on DVD and bought the BD in June, I know it's there.

The profile you are getting when you try to add by disc-id is the one for Canada and it is just as blank as the US profile. Just create disc-id profiles for each disc and add them to the box-set. pdf I tried that. I deleted the 2 disk IDs that I didn't want from the second disk that had all 3, but when you try is with the 3rd disk, it just takes you to the second disks profile as if you have it. If you put the 2nd disk back in and pull, it does the same thing, as if it sees the 3 disk IDs, even though you deleted the IDs for disk 1 and disk 3. |

Disk 1 is coded R1 United States, disk 2 is coded R1 Canada, disk 3 is coded R1 United States. All 3 should be coded R1 United States, Canada. |

| Posted: | | | | The issue seems to be that all the child profiles have not been created, but that the discs are linked to the parent profile. Will the discs play in your player? If that is the case, and provided you've read the contribution rules (you likely have, I'm just saying to cover all bases) then this is what I would do:
1. Take the profile for the parent (Star Trek Motion Picture Trilogy). Strip the disc IDs out of the disc information part of that profile. That info doesn't belong in the parent profile. Close this profile for now.
2. Insert disc 1 in your computer. I believe you said this gives you the correct profile. Download it.
3. Insert disc 2 in your computer. Uncheck the box at the bottom of the screen that says "download profile from Invelos". Create the profile from scratch.
4. Insert disc 3 in your computer, and do either #2 or #3 for it, whichever needs to be done.
5. Open the parent profile again. Add the three movie profiles to the parent via the section "box set contents."
6. Submit all four profiles to the online to correct the issue for future users! | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |
