I was submitting an addition of the original title to the profile for the film Scrooge, the 1951 UK version of A Christmas Carol.  The cast list popped up with two differences, both of which were birthyears and both of which had no checkboxes at the bottom, so they are already accepted.

But when I looked I noticed that one of them was wrong.

Michael Dolan was the actor who played the Spirit of Christmas Past.  The birthyear for him is listed as 1954.  He can't have been born after the movie was made.  He was actually born in 1884, and DIED in 1954.  (I checked for the other Michael Dolan - he was born in 1965.)

Is there a way to get this fixed?

My understanding of the system tells me that it can't be fixed.  If you change the birth year, you will create a new entry in the cast database.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.

We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Of course there is. You can simply correct him to Michael Dolan with the CORRECT birth year (1884), submit that, and explain the change in your notes, like you have done here. Two Michael Dolan's are documented (right here) in the "List of Accepted Birth Years with Documentation"-thread, although sadly it seems the index isn't updated anymore, making it harder to find...

Irish actor Michael Dolan (1884) - 'Scrooge':

As far as I can tell, the 1954 BY really shouldn't be in the database - my guess is that the person who entered it looked at this, and accidentally copied 1954 from the date of death, instead of taking 1884 from the date of birth. Getting it removed from the "accepted" list is something only Invelos can do, but we can fix any profiles containing it.

Also, you can open a support ticket to have the actor with the incorrect BY removed from the database.
