I've noticed that several recent Blu-Ray releases that have the Blu-ray, a DVD, and digital copy are characterized as a box set when I add them.  However they don't seem to follow the box set rule and include the Blu-ray disk info in the box set and then have a single child containing the dvd (Examples are Up, Princess Bride, and Ice Age:Dawn of the Dinosaurs).  However others, with the same content (An example is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) are not following this convention.

1) Is this an agreed upon new convention?  If so the contribution rules need to be updated to reflect this practice. If not, then the titles mentioned need to be fixed.

2) Are these really box sets since they are multiple copies of the same movie in the packaging?

If I could vote, I'd say that I like the convention.

Yes, mark, this is done because we cannot otherwise diefferntiate between the BD release and the DVD Combo that is part of it. What characteristics you ask. I'm glad that you did. For example the DVD audio is different from BD Audio, likewise with Video and a few other issues.

To be clear, these are not characterized as 'Box Sets'.  They are Bonus Feature Films.  An explanation can be found at the bottom of this page in the rules.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
