| Posted: | | | | Not sure if this has ever come up before, but how is TV movie classified? I just thought about it with a recent submission and was curious how it was handled. I looked at the rules but didn't see anything about it there (although it's possible I missed it).
The example for this is Batman/Mr. Freeze: SubZero. It originally debuted on TV but is in fact a feature-length animated movie (in fact the DVD case states it as a "Full-Length Movie"). And there are plenty of other examples...
So, a TV Movie: Is it classified as a "Film" or "Television"?
Just to note, I don't have a problem with the contribution but I was curious about this topic in general. |

| Posted: | | | | If the original release was on TV, I consider it television. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | I collect a lo of TV movies... and I make them all Television NR unless the case says otherwise... as I have seen some TV movies be put in for a regular rating (PG usually). | | | Pete |

Do you have a reference that it debuted on TV? Everything I can find says it was direct-to-video and ended up on TV later. At least that's what IMDB and Wikipedia say. |

| Posted: | | | | The subject has been discussed before. For my local use, Television is only used for TV series. In the previous discussion, though, the majority seemed to want TV movies categorized as Television as well. I accept that, even though I disagree... | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users.
