| Posted: | | | | I have two releases of Watchmen (Rorschach & Dr. Manhattan's masks) which were distributed in very limited quantities in Israel - 50 each. The front cover doesn't mention this, because it was in fact imported as is by the distributor.
Due to the limited quantities it's now OOP basically.
My question is: Can I add the "Limited Edition" despite what I've just wrote? | | | October 12th, 1985. Tonight, a comedian died in New York. | | | Last edited: by liorb22 |

| Posted: | | | | I would say Yes. The Edition field is to different between different versions, so why not. |

| Posted: | | | | I haven't checked the program as it is not open at the moment... but the rules state if you do not use one of the standard editions (built into DVD Profiler drop down menu) it must be taken from the case. Rules Quote Quote: The Edition field is for distinguishing between DVDs, and for indicating special versions and collections (for example The Criterion Collection, Widescreen, Full-Screen Edition). It's usually safe to use one of the built-in selections if appropriate. If you are using a non-standard description, take it from the DVD box, and ensure it will help distinguish between different releases of the same title. Hope that helps. | | | Pete |

Think this would be also Ok. Sorry, Addicted2DVD is right, have overseen this in hurry. So ih nothing else is mentioned on the cover front or back, I would take Limited Edition. This is imho the best matching standard. |

Hope that helps. This would be the relevant section of the Rules. If it's not on the DVD cover, it cannot be used. | | | Hal |

Very unfortunate in cases like this and shows yet another area where the rules need to be updated to match what is available today. More and more there are special editions developed for individual retailers. This was not the case 5 years ago when the rules were written. I still say go with Dr. Manhattan Mask Edition (or the other one) as compared to just picking one from he pull down simply because that is what was popular 5 years ago. I would like to see a picture of the set. Any chance of that liorb22? Question for those advocating using the pull down. What happens when someone says it should be collector's edition instead of limited edition? Both are equally valid and both are available using the pull down only options. |

| Posted: | | | | It was unclear in the OP that the Edition actually does appear on the back cover.
Technically, "Limited Edition 2-Disc DVD Dr. Manhattan Case" would be the correct entry, however, that probably won't fit, and I'd go with Rick's suggestion: "Limited Edition Dr. Manhattan Case" | | | Hal |

Agreed
and you are right the full edition does not fit or I would have said the full edition needs to be used. With the provide scan, I agree to this also. |

| Posted: | | | | It sounds ot me like this didn't get an official release in Israel and shoudl just be listed as wherever they originally came from. |
