| Posted: | | | | I just ordered the set, and the profile has 5 box sets within a boxset (normally not a concern) but each disc is then listed as a seperate entry - not a purchased set with 6 discs per set. From what I can tell the 6 discs per season are not in seperate containers
In adding the Farscape The Complete Series, I added 32 seperate "disc entries" into Profiler.
I was expecting 5-6 at most (1 complete season, 4 seasons, Bonus set).
Should I change this? If I do the resulting seperate 4 seasons would be changed as well.

Look at I LOve Lucy Complete in my collection as an example. The Parent Profile for the Complete Series is in the Online, but the remainder of the data while you can see it in my collection, some of the information is different from the Actual Online like the Cover Art, because all that Paramount did was repackage what they had already released from Season sets to, in essence a stack of discs.

Complete Box Set Profile -- Season 1 Profile ----- 6 Disc Level Profiles -- Season 2 Profile ----- 6 Disc Level Profiles -- Season 3 Profile ----- 6 Disc Level Profiles -- Season 4 Profile ----- 6 Disc Level Profiles -- Farscape Archives ----- 2 Disc Level Profiles | | | Chris |

| Posted: | | | | In this case the parent box has a UPC and contains all seasons in keeps cases which have a UPC and the archives which also has a unique UPC. Basically each season looks like it will be sold seperatly but is also available in one big box set.
Per the rules for TV series "Individual profiles for each disc may be submitted if desired, but this is not required." So the current setup of:
Parent Box UPC -> Season 1-4 Child profiles by UPC -> Disc ID Profile children for each season
Is allowed under the rules since the disc level profiles are child profiles of the season cases which have a unique UPC.

Tom So if is not required, is it a first one to post a Parent Profile determines how it will be structured? Kinda seems arbitrary, prone to changes like I was proposing. I guess I am wondering why (except for the extra work & time) I haven't see this more often. I have 500+ (and probably added removed 200 more) DVDs/BluRays and this is the first time I've seen this setup. Hence my question here... Thanks. PDH | | | Thanks.

I do have to thank A&E as they made this set easy to profile...the box has a UPC as does each individual season case...so we end up with a Parent Profile by UPC, Season Profiles by UPC and individual disc profiles by disc ID.
As a side note, I am currently adding the cast lists for these profiles. Season one is done, as is the first disc of season two. Watching the second disc tonight, so that profile should be up on Tuesday. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Since this is a complete series set, the parent will be blank and each season profile will contain full cast and crew. The individual disc profiles are what is optional. Hence my question here... Being asked if you want to download the child profiles is a fairly new feature. Prior to it's addition to the program, the only way you knew if there were disc level profiles, is if you manually checked. So, if you didn't use disc level profiles, you never knew they were there. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. That is how the others I have received were created. And as stated in the rules (see tkinnen's post) its is not required to do this so I could see people changing the season profiles as the discs have the same cover art. | | | Thanks.

Thanks! That explains alot! I knew if I asked enough questions I could make my thoughts clear to figure this out. PDH | | | Thanks.
