| Posted: | | | | I think this has been hashed over in the past but memory fails me today on this discussion: the screen title is Se7en the dvd is called Se7en- but the original screenplay when written was Seven. I'm NOT changing the title only the original title. Why would the disc ID read seven?.. or the creditbox on rear of jacket between quotes read Seven? Plus checking into my argument that this is the Original title as per the screenplay..plus the dvd itself originally released before this special edition was spelt Seven. also various websites call the title seven. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. also various websites call the title seven. Regardless of anything else, from what you have said here the original title for your release has to be se7en per the rules. Edit: Just to clarify that as the original title is the same as the DVD title, the OT field should be left blank. | | | Last edited: by Ardos |

| Posted: | | | | The way the rules are written for Original Title... The info can only come from 1 place... Rules Quote: Quote: The Original Title field serves two general purposes, but in both cases allows for the tracking of the original feature title. Use the title from the film's credits. In cases where the title is the original title, leave the Original Title field blank. I have the special edition release of Se7en. And I checked the credits. (and screen capped if needed) It is credited as Se7en. So in the case of the special edition per the rules it doesn't get an original title. A previous release, screen play, script or any other source doesn't change that fact. per the rules this release just don't get an original title. | | | Pete |

Majority has nothing to do with profiles being right or wrong and getting accepted into the online database. It is either right or it is wrong per rule. In this case it is wrong per Rules. | | | Pete |

also various websites call the title seven. The rule is very clear...The Original Title field serves two general purposes, but in both cases allows for the tracking of the original feature title. Use the title from the film's credits. In cases where the title is the original title, leave the Original Title field blank. If the title in the films credits is Se7en then, per the last line of that rule, the Original Title field is to be left blank. Edit: I see Pete has faster fingers...which is a surprise. | Posted: | | | | Sorry, but this thread is not needed at all. The rule here is clear and I don't see how anybody can read it different. Please, let's just stop starting a thread to argue about something like this. Please pull your contribution as it is simply against the rules! | | | Last edited: by TheDarkKnight |

| Posted: | | | | According to the rules, if it's in the film credits "Se7en" then original title is "Se7en". If this is really the original title or not, is not on what we make the profiles, we make it according to the rules. |

It's definitely "Seven" in my local db. So the Rule should be written based upon what you do in your local. I am missing something here. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here
