| Posted: | | | | So I'm auditing another of my low-budget cheesefest dvds that no one else probably owns, but someone might as I've seen them at Big Lots recently.
Anyway, opening credits.
Orignal Score by Paul Zaza I get this, composer credit easy. Then the next credit that pops up is this:
Original Music by X Y
As of now, all of them have composer credit. I haven't touched this disc since 2007 and back then I put them all in, now I feel like it's wrong. But I can't really credit them with songwriting (we'll see what the end credits hold, but probably not).
So, what do you all think should be done with the Music credits? All composer? Song writers (no proof they wrote songs at all yet) or keep it local as credited.
The movie I'm referring to is The Dark with Neve Campbell, UPC 658149406025 if anyone is really interested. In 2007 I was the lone owner, at least no one voted on that contribution.
BTW, if anyone can find a release date or SRP for this dvd, please let me know what they are. I tried searching the web by title, UPC, cast, crew, media companies, etc. At least some sites acknowledge this disc exists (not so in 04 or so when I got it), but can't find this info anywhere. | | | Last edited: by bigdaddyhorse |

Skip Nope. There's 2 songs credited, both written by another guy nowhere close to the 2 in opening credts. |

| Posted: | | | | OMG, it's a madhouse....a madhouse. I would list them as composers then, BUT I also use the Custom field to add the ACTUAL credit and I include that data in my notes, perhaps in this case with an explanation.

| Posted: | | | | Neither "Orignal Score by" nor "Original Music by" is listed in the rules exactly like this. So if you are going strictly by the rules none of those credits are allowed. Another reason to allow name variants and functional equivalents. |

It's amazing that no one has thought of this before. | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

| Posted: | | | | I left them as composers for now. The rules will catch up. (Ducks) Since there is at least one other owner of this (thanks to them recently popping up at Big Lots, this was the rarest dvd in the world when I got it from ebay). Literally back then, I could find no info about it anywhere online. Now there's some basic info here and there. |

| Posted: | | | | There are all sorts of oddities because of current crew roles. For instance, original screenplay and written by mean the same thing, but are entered differently. |
