And the picture isn't bad, of course since the footage is so old, it's not going to look fantastic, but still (and given the age), it's still stunning. Skip Possibly not as dramatic but when Blu-ray content comes down to within the same price as DVD which it is doing and we should see at least one major release this year out sell it's DVD counter part in it's first week, the argument for not going for the Blu-ray get's slimmer. While yes DVD does have a vast amount of content iwhen i first got a DVD player in Christmas 2001 always thought that it was just tweak of the Laserdisc Format. Not to mention the public domain titles which are generally pretty trashy even in DVD quality. Skip As with VHS once the mainstream falls into place the outside elements will fall into play over the next 2 years after that. You got to remember these certain things are not market deciders and only have small audience. Blu-ray as i see it will take the reigns by the end of 2012 and DVD will start to take a back seat but im certainly sure it will still be around till 2015 and even after that ppl will still be buying various titles on the format. I won't be one of them though lol |

Blu-ray has been a gamer's format from day one, and it likely always will be. The catalogue stuff will go straight to download. If you want to own it, it's the DVD.
