In this thread...:
http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicid=430575&PageNum=1&x=#M1169977
...we could try to collect the official statements of Ken and Gerri to contribution problems that were discussed in the "Contribution Discussion"-Forum.

This could help us to not always discuss themes again on which we got a official decision. (until hopefully this decisions find their way into the rules)

Please use this thread to discuss about this.

Hope you give some good inputs.

Then it would be best pin this topic and then full quote the post made by Ken and give a link to the original post...

Look at the example in the thread I made for this. Hope this is in a kind it would be good.
Suggestions to make it better are welcome.

I'll ask for a pin if the thread will be "accepted" by the community.

Finally we will not need to search everywhere on the forum to find them.
Great initiative VirusPil

Of course that deserve a big green (so I give you one in this one and the collecting thread)

Great idea, many thanks!
It would be even better if you could get Ken to pin your thread with Invelos rulings.

There was is this issue about Titles and hyphen if the language changes in the middle of the title like "Village - Kylä".

Second one I remember was about the burned/forced subtitles.

Happy hunting, I'm too lazy at the moment

I think you think of this discussion:
http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=419998&PageNum=1
It would have been nice, but there was no statement of Kan or Gerri.

But still thanks, because it brought me to this:

Easiest way to find Ken & Gerri's rulings is probably to go through their respective list of posts, rather than to plough through endless contribution debates that usually end nowhere.

That's how I make it yet, but in their post list there are just the posts from 2009. Earlier posts aren't listed.

Here is a rather important one from 2007...

Using most commonly credited form of a name...

Here is the thread that brought up the question:
http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=219058&PageNum=1

And Ken's response on the second page of the thread.. (About half way down the thread)
http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=219058&PageNum=2

Quoting Ken Cole:
Quote:
The lookup tool is not to be blindly trusted, however it does outweigh other sources, including autographs.  The common name is not intended to always reflect the "real name", but the most commonly credited name.

However, if a user documents errors in the database where the credit is not entered properly, that can and should be considered.  Better yet, correct the entries, assuming you own the discs in question, thereby correcting the lookup results.

And adding to that, there was the question of whether that "most commonly credited name" referred to the larger number of profiles, or the largest number of different titles. Here, Ken confirmed it's the latter:

And, to answer the question, the number of movies is the more important number.
