There is not even a cheap legitmate Korean or Chinease version.  I am try to complete the Time top 100 moves (finished both AFI's and best picture winners) and I have hit a wall.  Any idea when or ever this will be relased on DVD or Blu Ray.  Im very frustrated.

The good news is that is in the hands of a major studio, Paramount. The bad new is that there is no indication when or if it might be released or what kind of condition the film is in.

Yep, I just broke down myself and bought the VHS (dubbing it onto DVD-R for posterity).  Good movie, and Jannings does a fine job.

Paramount has no use, zero, for silent films, and it refuses to release WINGS, Best Picture winner.  Won't even license it out.  Very sad.  They own a lot of good stuff, too.

THis thread is very confusing from the top notes down.  Top 100? AFI?  1955 ?  no 1928..
Paramount?    If this is all a riddle  I vote the title you are looking for that is not in print from Paramount from  1928 / Best Picture and from AFI  is  Wings ...
In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

The Last Command, from 1928, one of the films that won Emil Jannings the first Oscar for Best Actor.

Jericko's not talking about AFI's list, but Time's Top 100.  I think he said he already has all the AFI movies in another thread.
