Since there are no objective markers it might be possible that the images were mirrored for what ever reasons (soldier looking to the right looks better or somethng like that).

They actually all have it the same. The blue field goes forward, so the left and right shoulders will be different.

They do them like that on the sides of buses, etc., too.  Normally, the blue field must be on the top left when the flag is displayed flat, as on a wall, whether horizontally or vertically, as shown in the New York Stock Exchange photo in the first post.
