Through special features has a special English dubbed version (not accessible through normal audio menu). Question - Does the special English dubbed count as an audio track, or a special feature? 2. The cast list on the theatrical version is in Chinese(?), the special English dubbed version has the list in English. Question - Do we take cast list from the Special English dubbed version? Thanx in advanced. Charlie |

| Posted: | | | | It is an interesting setup though I think. I'd be curious to know a) if one tries to cycle through available audio tracks while watching the main feature, is the English audio track one of those and b)when you DO select the English dub via the special feature menu, is it still playing back the same video file?
Not expecting an answer here - just thought it would be interesting. It sounds like the English dub selection is just setting up a seamless branch for the end credits. | | | Last edited: by MsPaula |

In answer to your first question, No. It does not cycle through the audio track. You cycle 2 versions of chinese then an english commentary. The only way I know of to get english DUB is through special features menu. As far as the other question, I don't know. I don't know why they did not include the dub in the audio menu. |

| Posted: | | | | It is listed as a bonus feature, and not accesable via the 'audio' buttons, so I would list it as a special feature. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | In principle I agree with the Martian. However, if my player's audio button gives me direct access to the dubbed track, then (and only then) I would include it in the Audio Tracks listing. If however you need to change the player's settings to do that, then no.
(Am I correct in my remembering Ken's statement that "hidden" audio tracks for which the player's settings need changing to be able to access them do not get listed, other than in Features?) | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

No need to change players setting. This is a standard DVD, not bluray. But you cannot access it through the audio button. You must go into the features sub menu to get it. Mtnmike may have it correct. The english dubbed version has english credits and may be a matter of seamless branching. |

Mtnmike may have it correct. The english dubbed version has english credits and may be a matter of seamless branching. If this is the R1 version we are talking about, it is not seamless branching, it is a separate encode on the disc and accessible through the Special Features menu (it is also listed as a Bonus Feature on the back). The reason is that several scenes of the film have been deleted, not just the credits or language. |

| Posted: | | | | So if it's a complete separate video file, (This nearly must be, if you can't access the English over toggling by watching the movie and you go a different end credit) I would see it as a bonus feature film on the same disc. -> So just add it over Features. Cast Question: From main movie, even if it gets hard to read the chinese credits. (Could be that the credits from the dubbed version could be different) |

| Posted: | | | | I think an earlier version of the profile listed the English version as an actual language track, but as the other posts say, that version is cut be several minutes. So listing it under the bonus features is correct IMO. |
