parsing, field size & animal actors |

| | Posted: | | | | I have a bit of a problem with a cast list I just finished. The actor's name is:
Bundock's Rover Run Concerto
He's an animal actor; played the role of Candy in Little Dog Lost.
1. Is the proper parsing to put an animal actor's name all in the first name field?
2. If that is correct and it doesn't fit (his doesn't, it gets cut off) would it be all right to separate it this way:
Bundock's Rover Run // Concerto
3. Since he is credited as CH. Bundock's Rover Run Concerto, should I include the CH. (short for Champion, which is a title)?

| | Posted: | | | | Not sure about the parsing, but for the Ch, I'd use the credited as function. In the new rules, military rank/dr/other titles are to be used that way. I'd say that champion would qualify for an honorific.
"Military rank/affiliation or other honorifics should be included in the 'Credited As' field. Example: a credit of "Cpl. John Smith, USMC" should be entered as First Name: "John", Last Name "Smith", Credited As "Cpl. John Smith, USMC"" | | | | Lori |

CH. could mean anything really, animals can have quite complex pedigree names. My cat is registered with four seperate names for instance. | | | | Corey |

Bundock is more likely to be the name of the kennel where the dog was bred and does form part of the dog's pedigree name. At least that's how it is done in Europe - I assume the US to be the same. |

| | Posted: | | | | The kennel name is often part of the dog's pedigree name here in the US as well. I've seen a lot of possessives in pedigree names when watching Westminster.
