| Posted: | | | | For a box set that includes multiple complete television programs (including 3 different, complete series), am I supposed to include all the credit info in the parent profile or only in the child profiles?
The box set is The Founding of America, and includes 14 discs
It contains: - Founding Fathers (entire series, 2 discs) - Founding Brothers (entire series, 2 discs) - The Revolution (entire series, 4 discs) - several one-shot documentaries & three historical dramas (6 discs)
I am inclined to treat it like a film box set parent, since there are multiple separate shows included in the set. But all of them are TV, so I figured it couldn't hurt to see what the rest of you thought. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield | | | Last edited: by Danae Cassandra |

| Posted: | | | | In that case, I'd handle it like a movie box set, not like a TV season set. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | I would do a mix of movie and TV box set.
The parent profile only holds cover info and boxset contents.
If every series is then packaged seperately, those will hold the info for that complete serie, with optional disc level child profiles.
If the boxset however contains 14 seperately packaged discs, then I'd go for a parent profile with 14 child profiles. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

| Posted: | | | | If I did understand correct, it's not a TV series, so I would go with movie box set. |

Nothing is packaged separately. It's all in a large, unfolding digipak.

I'm not sure if you understood me. It's not a TV series, it's 3 TV series & several one-shot TV documentaries & movies. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | I would treat it like any other TV set as you can't really do children on anything other than a disc level. |

| Posted: | | | | Ok, but I still would treat it as a box set. -> parent nearly empty and child profiles based on the Disc Ids. (See cvermeylen's last sentence)
It's not perfect, but imho it's different to a typical TV-series season/box set, so the repeating of the data in the parent isn't needed. |
