| Posted: | | | | Came across this credit for Edward S. Haworth it seems to be a special effects credits but every other film i have him in is either Art Director of Production Designer, IMDb have it as a Special Effects credit So is it Special Effects or Production Design or should i just leave him out? |

| Posted: | | | | I read it as connected to the special effects. It would seem odd to credit the effects, then the production designer and then go back to a special effects photography credit. I think reading it as "special effects designed by" is valid, and as it's listed in the crew table I see no reason not to contribute. I think more of a question is whether Robert H. Crandall gets a credit for special effects photography |

But only the first two would be credited. A Special Effects Cinematographer/Director of Photographer isn't credited at this time. |

| Posted: | | | | I would leave Haworth out. There is no proof he is FX-related except proximity which isn't proof.
If they were related why were they not deliberately grouped like those that did the underwater sequence just below them. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

So is it Special Effects or Production Design or should i just leave him out? Is there another, major Cinematographer / DoP credit? | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |

If we go by the strictest following of the rules, then I guess so. So following this kind of reasoning the following wouldn't be allowed either. Makeup Effects created by Makeup for <Name> Created by Visual Effects Created by But I've seen these credited in many profiles. By the way TCM's site also lists him as Special Effects for The Monster That Challenged the World. http://www.tcm.com/tcmdb/title.jsp?stid=17231&category=Full%20Credits |

Then what we have here is probably a group of special effects related crew members. And Edward S. Harworth is a Special Effects Designer.
